BEIJING, June 13 (Xinhua) -- China Media Group (CMG) on Saturday launched a three-month program to publicize cultural heritage items across the country.

Saturday marked the country's fourth Cultural and Natural Heritage Day.

The program, in collaboration with the National Cultural Heritage Administration (NCHA), will show the features of diverse cultural heritage items in China and tell the stories behind their protection through short videos and livestreams.

A five-hour interactive live show was hosted on a mobile video platform of CMG to present the offline activities held by more than 10 cultural heritage institutions to celebrate the day.

Also on Saturday, a new season of a serial documentary, "Every Treasure Tells a Story," jointly produced by CMG and NCHA, started to air.
