The Chief Executive also urged the media to give more coverage to Hong Kong and Macao youths, who have started their businesses in the cities in the Bay Area so as to encourage more young aspiring entrepreneurs to chase their dreams there.

The media summit was Lam's last major event in a four-day swing across four mainland cities in the Bay Area, during which she also visited the National Arts Studios in Foshan, InnoValley in Jiangmen and Zhaoqing New District.

She began the tour by attending the 21th plenary of the Hong Kong-Guangdong Cooperation Joint Conference in Guangzhou on Thursday.

She told the meeting the HKSAR and Guangdong province have been reaping the enormous benefits of their growing cooperation in a wide range of sectors under the development framework of the Bay Area, with joint efforts in fields ranging from infrastructure to youth development.
