Over the past few years, steady progress has been made in the media industry of China, showing enhanced competitiveness and influence of the news media. Profound changes have also taken place in the structure of the media sector as well as the environment it encounters, and significant progress has been witnessed in the integrated development of traditional and new media, in addition to new improvement in the professional ethics of the press.

To present an overall picture of China’s media industry, the All-China Journalists Association (ACJA), in collaboration with the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT), State Internet Information Office and some other units, has compiled the “Development of China’s News Media (2015)”.

Our sincere thanks go to the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, State Council Information Office, SAPPRFT, State Internet Information Office, People’s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, and Communication University of China for their support.
